🎯 Celebrating National Pride and Community

The celebration was designed to help students deepen their understanding of the meaning of Saudi National Day while expressing their sense of national pride and belonging through speech, music, drama and cultural activities.

It also provided students with opportunities to showcase their talents, build confidence and strengthen the connection between families and the school.

🎭 Performances, Culture and Creativity

The afternoon began with a warm welcome to families and guests, followed by the Saudi national anthem. 🇸🇦

Students then took to the stage to present patriotic songs and a variety of artistic, cultural and heritage-inspired performances.

One of the highlights was a student play titled “Why Do I Love National Day?”, which explored the meaning of the occasion from the students’ own perspective. Other students delivered speeches in English expressing their love for Saudi Arabia and their pride in the Kingdom’s achievements.

Through singing, speaking and acting, students were able to participate in different ways and confidently contribute to the celebration.

🎪 National Day Bazaar and Interactive Activities

Following the stage performances, families and visitors explored the National Day bazaar and a variety of interactive stations.

A dedicated photo area also gave students and their families the opportunity to capture special memories from the afternoon together. 📸💚

🌟 A Celebration Shared by the Whole School Community

Students, parents, teachers and staff all played an important role in bringing the celebration to life.

Throughout the afternoon, students had the opportunity to share their artistic, cultural and theatrical talents, while families were able to experience the celebration alongside them.

By combining performances, cultural learning and interactive activities, the event connected students’ understanding of Saudi national identity with creativity, confidence and family participation.

Preparing and delivering the programme also encouraged cooperation and teamwork across the different school teams involved in organising the celebration.

🔭 Looking Ahead

Future National Day celebrations at Roya can build on this experience by giving even more students opportunities to participate in preparing and presenting activities, expanding the range of interactive stations and introducing a student art exhibition inspired by Saudi National Day.

Continued collaboration between participating departments, together with photo and video documentation, can help make future celebrations even more engaging and memorable for the school community.

🇸🇦 Saudi National Day at Roya

Our Primary School students worked hard to create a joyful and memorable Saudi National Day celebration for their families and the wider Roya community.

Through the event, students were able to learn, create and practise performing in front of others — helping develop confidence, communication skills and a stronger sense of belonging.

Roya extends its thanks to all the students, families, teachers and staff who contributed to the celebration and helped make the afternoon such a meaningful occasion for our school community. 💚
