Arabic Language Day 2025: “We Are Proud of It” at Roya School 🇸🇦
The event took place on the school theatre stage, with wonderful participation from students across all year groups. The programme opened with a beautiful recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a heartfelt poem celebrating the richness and greatness of the Arabic language, as well as an entertaining theatrical performance in Arabic. 📖
Students also took part in interactive cultural competitions designed to strengthen their language skills and deepen their connection to the language of Dhad (ض)—a name traditionally used to celebrate the Arabic language. 🗣️❤️
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and pride, bringing together learning, creativity, friendly competition, and fun. 🧠🎉
🎯 Objectives of the Event
Arabic is an essential part of our national identity and the language of the Holy Qur’an.
Arabic Language Day aimed to help students develop their oral expression and recitation skills in Modern Standard Arabic with greater confidence and fluency, while highlighting the beauty and richness of the language through poetry, theatre, and engaging competitions.
The event also aimed to:
- Raise awareness of the importance of preserving and valuing the Arabic language.
- Encourage students to use Arabic actively within the school environment.
- Strengthen students’ sense of belonging and cultural pride.
- Develop teamwork and responsibility through participation in the planning and delivery of the event.

The theatre stage and sound system were also prepared, with full coordination between the students and organising team. The programme was delivered according to schedule, and the event was documented through photos and videos to capture the students’ participation and memorable moments.
📈 Results
Students showed a high level of engagement throughout the different programme segments, with enthusiastic participation in the cultural competitions and performances.
The event provided students with valuable opportunities to practise recitation and oral expression in Modern Standard Arabic in front of an audience, while building their confidence in using the language.

The event provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talents in poetry, recitation, and acting, and to celebrate these talents together as a school community.👏
