Energy buzzed through the Spelling Bee competition
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G spells how successful the Spelling Bee was at Royat Al-Ebtikar International School 🏫 on 20th of November, 2025🗓️ . The
Ministry of Education
organised a brilliant
Arabic Spelling Bee Competition
for students in Year 2 all the way up to Year 5. 🎉 This was part of their hard work to help students get better at spelling, phonics, and feeling confident. 💪✨ The competition was a fun and clever way to help everyone learn and grow.
📝 Competition Procedure
First, all the children in the target year groups took part in a mandatory preliminary round. ✅ They practised a special list of words made just for their year group.
Then, the teacher picked a word from the list 🗣️, and the student had to spell it letter by letter – nice and clear – and then say the whole word correctly. 👏
They did four elimination rounds in a row. 🔄 Each time, the students who got through received a new list with more difficult words. 📈 This carried on
until the final stage, where the top three winners for each year group were chosen. 🥇🥈🥉
🏅 Certificates and Awards
The
Ministry of Education really wanted to cheer everyone on and celebrate their efforts. 🎊 So, during the first stage of the competition,
every single participant
got a certificate
of appreciation
and a little prize. 🧸📜 This showed everyone that taking part is super important – it helps build confidence, improves spelling and phonics, and recognises all the hard work the students put into training and competing. 💖
🎯 Competition Objectives
The competition wanted to achieve lots of great things, like:
- 🧠 Getting better at spelling and breaking down sounds
