Royat Al-Ebtikar International School Enhances Safety with CPR & AED Training

At Royat Al-Ebtikar International School, student safety is always a top priority. As part of our preparations for the 2025–2026 academic year, our dedicated staff members successfully completed CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training in collaboration with Al Salama Hospital 🏥.

The session was delivered by certified medical professionals, ensuring that all participants gained essential, life-saving skills aligned with international emergency care standards 🌍🚑.

🎯 Turning Knowledge into Action

The training focused on transforming theoretical knowledge into practical, real-life response skills. Staff were trained to act quickly and confidently during cardiac and breathing emergencies—both within the school and in everyday situations.

Through hands-on activities and scenario-based practice, participants strengthened their confidence, readiness, and ability to respond effectively when it matters most.

Key Training Topics 📋

The session followed the internationally recognised Chain of Survival protocol, covering both adult and infant emergencies. Key areas included:

  • Recognising emergency situations
  • Activating emergency medical services
  • Applying the C-A-B sequence (Compressions, Airway, Breathing)
  • Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Managing choking incidents

Each step was designed to build confidence and competence in life-saving techniques from start to finish.

🩺 Hands-On Training Focused on Real-Life Response

A major highlight of the session was the practical training using advanced manikins (training dummies). These realistic models provided instant feedback, helping staff develop proper technique, timing, and muscle memory.

Simulated emergency scenarios added a realistic layer of pressure, preparing participants to remain calm, focused, and effective in real-life situations.

👨‍⚕️ Adult & Infant CPR Techniques

Staff received specialised training for both adult and infant CPR, ensuring they understand the key differences in response:

  • Adult CPR:
Focused on correct compression depth, rhythm, and coordination, including maintaining the
30:2 compression-to-breath ratio and proper hand positioning.

  • Infant CPR:
    Covered modified techniques such as
two-finger compressions, gentler airway handling, and careful delivery of rescue breaths.

This comprehensive approach ensures our staff are prepared to respond appropriately across different age groups.

🏅 A Commitment to Safety & Excellence

The session was conducted to the highest standards by the expert team from Al Salama Hospital. We are proud to share that all Royat Al-Ebtikar staff members successfully completed the training and earned their certification 🎓👏.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a safe, prepared, and caring school environment for every child.
