Our Saudi Founding Day Celebration 2026!๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Students and teachers at Royat Al-Ebtikar International School had a wonderful time celebrating Saudi Founding Day! ๐Ÿฅณ Here’s a look back at our memorable celebration, held on February 16, 2026. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Students from EY, Y2, Y3, Y4, and Y5 all took part in a day filled with learning, culture, activities, and celebration. ๐ŸŒŸ

Our Main Aims for the Day ๐ŸŽฏ

We wanted to make this occasion meaningful and memorable for our students, focusing on several key goals:

  • ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ To strengthen pride in our national identity and deepen our love for our homeland.
  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ To explore the rich history, regions, and diverse cultures of the Kingdom.
  • ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ‍โ™€๏ธ To develop students’ research, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • ๐ŸŽ‰ To create a lively, interactive, and enjoyable atmosphere for our school community.

The Schedule of Events ๐Ÿ“‹

The afternoon was filled with exciting performances and activities! Here’s what took place:

  1. ๐ŸŽต We proudly stood together for the Saudi National Anthem.
  2. ๐Ÿ“– We listened to beautiful verses from the Holy Qur’an.
  3. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ A talented student recited a moving national poem.
  4. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ The gym came alive with a wonderful Saudi heritage performance, featuring traditional singing and dance.
  5. ๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿ‘” We enjoyed a colourful fashion show showcasing traditional Saudi clothing.
  6. ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ We then explored the Kingdom through our special Regional Corners, with each one representing a different part of Saudi Arabia:
  • ๐Ÿ™๏ธ Central Region (EY) – We explored the capital city, Riyadh.
  • ๐Ÿ•‹ Western Region (Y5) – We discovered Makkah, Jeddah, and Taif.
  • ๐ŸŒŠ Eastern Region (Y4) – We learned about Dammam, Khobar, and Al-Ahsa.
  • ๐Ÿœ๏ธ Northern Region (Y3) – We explored Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Arar.
  • โ›ฐ๏ธ Southern Region (Y2) – We discovered Asir, Najran, and Jazan.

Fun Activities in Each Region! ๐ŸŽช

Each class was assigned to one of the five regions and worked hard to prepare four engaging activities for everyone to enjoy:

  1. ๐Ÿ‘˜ Heritage Costume Display: Students wore the beautiful traditional clothing of their assigned region and gave a short presentation explaining the meaning and significance of each costume.
  2. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Regional Folk Food Tasting: Traditional dishes from each region were displayed for students and visitors to discover. Each dish was accompanied by an information card explaining its name, ingredients, and region of origin.
  3. ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ All About the Region: Each corner featured a presentation introducing the region, including its location on the map, famous cities and landmarks, as well as its unique customs and traditions.
  4. ๐ŸŽฎ Interactive Student Game: Students enjoyed short games and friendly competitions, including cultural quizzes, matching traditional costumes to their correct regions, and spinning a question wheel.

Learning in the Classroom Too! ๐Ÿ“š

The learning continued beyond the event itself! ๐ŸŽ‰ Throughout the week, our Arabic language lessons were connected to Saudi Founding Day, giving students another opportunity to explore the Kingdom’s culture, heritage, and language.

This helped students understand how this special national occasion connects with what they learn in the classroom while deepening their appreciation of Saudi history and identity. ๐Ÿง

What We Achieved โœจ

Looking back, the celebration successfully achieved its goals. ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Students developed a deeper understanding of the Kingdom’s rich history, regions, and diverse cultural heritage.

They also had the opportunity to strengthen their communication, research, presentation, and teamwork skills. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Most importantly, the event helped build an even stronger sense of national pride, appreciation, and belonging. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’š

Our Amazing Teachers ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿซ

A huge thank you to all our teachers who helped make the celebration possible! ๐ŸŒŸ

Each region had its own dedicated corner, with teachers working closely alongside students to bring everything together. They created wonderful heritage decorations, arranged traditional food displays, organised interactive games, and supported students as they prepared and delivered their presentations.

Their efforts played an important role in making Saudi Founding Day a truly memorable occasion for our whole school community. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœจ
