Our Amazing First Day at Early Years! ✨
Hello, parents and friends! 🙋♀️🙋♂️
We had the most wonderful day at Royat Al-Ebtikar International School on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025. It was our special Welcome Programme for our new Early Years students! Everyone was so excited, and we just knew it was going to be a fantastic day. 😊
Let us tell you all about the fun we had! 📖
A Very Warm Welcome (9:00 AM) ☀️
When our new students and their parents arrived at school, they were greeted with big, happy smiles! 😀 Our lovely teachers, Ms. Maria, Ms. Shaima, Ms. Sawsan, Ms. Wiam, and our support staff, were all there to say hello. They guided everyone into our super colourful Activities Room.
The room looked beautiful! 🎨 Soft, calming music was playing. It made everyone feel safe and happy. It was a perfect way to start the day.
Fantastic Activity Corners (9:10 AM - 10:10 AM) 🎨
Next, it was time for some serious fun! The big room was filled with five exciting activity corners. The children and their mums could explore everything together. It was so much fun!
📚 The Reading Corner: This was a cosy spot with comfy bean bags and tons of books! There were books in English and Arabic. The children loved looking at the pictures and listening to stories. Some mums read to their children, and they even played with puppets! 🐰
🧩 The Puzzle Corner: This was a very creative space! The children used colourful markers, pens, and shiny stickers to create their own special puzzle piece. 🎨 Later, all the pieces were put together to make one giant, beautiful piece of class art! The mums helped guide their little ones. It was a great team effort!
🖼️ Clay and Picture Frames: This was a very popular station! The children used soft, air-dry clay to make little shapes and designs. Then, they used their creations to decorate a picture frame. The best part? They put a special Polaroid photo from their first day inside it! It was a lovely souvenir to take home. 📸
🧸 Stuffing Teddy Bears: Oh, this was delightful! The children chose a cute, pre-sewn teddy bear skin. Then, with help from their mums, they stuffed it with soft, fluffy filling. 🤗 Soon, everyone had their very own cuddly new friend to hug! It was so much fun.
🎒 Decorating Crocs Bags: This station was all about style! The children picked their favourite colourful pins and badges. Then, they decorated their Crocs bags to make them unique and special. The mums supervised and helped with the tricky bits.
📸 The Photo Shoot: Everyone loved this! There was a special photo booth with a bright, colourful backdrop. There were also lots of fun props to hold! Each child had their "First Day of Early Years" photo taken. 🤩 Many mums even jumped in for a lovely family picture. It was a perfect way to remember a special day.
All these corners were amazing. They helped the children be creative, make new friends, and have a brilliant time with their mums.
A Magical Magic Show! (10:15 AM - 11:30 AM) 🎩✨
After the activities, something incredible happened! A magician arrived and put on a captivating show! 🐇 The tricks were so cool and perfect for young children. There were colourful props and lots of laughter. The magician even asked some children and mums to help with the tricks! Everyone watched with wonder and joy. It was a truly enchanting part of the day.
A Yummy and Healthy Lunch (11:35 AM - 12:00 PM) 🍽️
All that fun made everyone very hungry! Luckily, a delicious and healthy lunch was served. The meal was from a licensed food provider and was prepared just for young children. On the menu was yummy Molokhia and white rice, plus fresh fruit juice. 🍚🥬🍹
The teachers and mums all sat down together with the children. It was a relaxed and social time. Everyone enjoyed their food and practised their good table manners. It was lovely to see everyone chatting and eating together.
Time to Say Goodbye (12:00 PM) 👋
After lunch, it was sadly time to go home. But first, the teachers gathered everyone for one last cheerful group activity. We sang a simple song together. 🎶
Then, the teachers helped the children gather all their wonderful creations—their teddy bears, picture frames, and decorated bags. The children were safely handed back to their parents at the pick-up area. The teachers shared a happy note about each child's fantastic first day and thanked all the mums for coming.
It was a truly perfect welcome to our school family. We are so excited for the rest of the year! Welcome to Early Years, everyone! 🎉💖
